I've been diagnosed IBS even though I think my problem is a fungal infection, I've learned some good tips for this situation. I used to get horrible constipation from eating or drinking anything high in sugar, so I tend to avoid that. Also eating leafy green vegetables helped me so much with the painful spasms I would get when passing a BM. Probiotics were good, as well as chamomile tea. Beans and lentils are high in fiber, and the least to cause me stomach upset, but for the beans I didn't go overboard at first, to avoid gas. I gave up fast food, junk food, and milk products. I have much less pain, diarrhea, and constipation. Also, anything to help bust stress, like walking, meditation, or writing, helped to keep myself calm and my stomach less tense.View Thread
that doesn't sound like IBS. I would persist in finding a good gastroenterologist to find out what is going on. Get tests and watch your diet, especially avoid spicy food... Your symptoms sound serious. Pursue it aggressively.View Thread
