Your story sounds like mine--haven't been on these boards in awhile. I had all the tests and diagnosed with Gastric Motility Disorder, GERD, Acahlasia(swallowing problem) and IBS-C. Several years ago I was having an especially bad time---my primary doc finally sent me for abdominal CT scan---gallbladder was loaded with stones---had to have it removed. He thought it was a long shot as did the surgeon--I wasn't the "typical" candidate--5'5 118lbs--ate healthy---but the pain I'd get after eating at times was killing me. Didn't matter what I ate--several hours after dinner--pain began and would last all night...hours of severe pain and dry heaving(TMI).......found out later all those years of suffering were gallbladder attacks!!! The pain was never localized to left side so they never guessed that or appendix???? After the surgery I was good for few years--but now I'm back to the diet of Milk of Magnesia.....tried probiotics--none worked for me---I eat Activia--doesn't work but at least I get some calcium....very frustrating. You try and eat healthy and sometimes I feel like that makes it worse....I too had a GI doc in the Rochester area..he was great but just retired so I have new group to try..haven't been to see them yet..good luck to youView Thread
