Hi everyone- I will try to make this as quick and to the point as possible. I am 30, DH 31. We have a 3 year old wonderful little boy. Before having my son we had two 1st trimester m/c- having switching OB's and then starting lovenox and progesterone we had our son. I had an IUD placed after that. In July of last year the IUD was removed and since that time I have had 3 additional 1st trimester m/c. I have since been sent to a fertility specialist in the area- all tests have been normal with the expect of some immature sperm. The RE then decided to start me on a "Dickey Protocol" which includes clomid, menopril, and ovidrel. Ultrasounds at the beginning of my cycle and at ovulation. She has mentioned intralipid infusions and extended dosing of prednison. I have not been incredibly impressed with this office- everyone has been nice, but there does not seem to be great communication and the dr just shoots out a ton of info with no explanation as to why. I was supposed to have an endometrial biopsy this week (for what she explained was to check for an infection related to the IUD from 2 years ago that has since been treated), I declined this test. I tried to get the the nurse to explain rationale for this treatment plan and the best I could get was "that's what she recommends". After research on my own I believe they would have also been checking for a luteal phase defect. I have since talked to my primary OB and she is referring to another specialist for a 2nd opinion. ok- after that "quick" run-though... can you ladies possibly shed some light onto this treatment plan or give me you thoughts. I'm not sure if I am just being difficult or if my insticts are correct. Thanks!View Thread
