Joel Bernstien, MD, is a board-certified ob-gyn practicing in Raleigh, N.C., at Kamm McKenzie. Bernstien earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and his medical degree from the Southwestern Medical Center at the University of Texas in Dallas. He completed his residency training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was the recipient of numerous medical student and fellow resident teaching awards.

Bernstien has a passion for providing care for women in all stages of their reproductive lives. He believes that if you spend quality time with a patient during her conception attempts, successful and unsuccessful pregnancies, and deliveries, then you have a patient for a lifetime. His other medical interests include laparoscopic and robotic surgery.

In his free time, Bernstien enjoys traveling, spending time with his wife and dog, exercising, and watching reality TV.
