This is first time ever to post something on forum, so I am not sure if I will give you all info you need to understand my story.
I have just started stimulations for my 2nd IVF cycle and this is the second time I have baseline estrogen levels over 100. The first time it was 103, I went through the stimulations, got pregnant and after 6 weeks lost pregnancy. After that I have read different posts that having this high estrogen may be indicative of low ovarian reserves... however my doctor is not too worrying because other tests look good. Now again my base line estrogen was high 112. Today bloodwork after 3 days of stimulation returned with 215 and they are again confident that things will work out.
So I am continuing with stimulations and increasingly worrying.
Has anyone had this high estrogen to begin with and ended up with successful pregnancy???
I would really appreciate to know that I'm not setting myself up for another failed cycle.
Thanks and good luck to everyone going through their cycles and treatments!!!View Thread

2 years ago my husband and I decided that we wanted to conceive. I was diagnosed with PCOS. I don't have a period unless I take Progesterone. I have little to no progesterone level in my blood, so without the monthly progesterone medications, I won't menstruate at all. I started seeing an infertility doctor who did the usual pelvic exam. My pelvic exam was promising or so he said, good size ovaries, lots of eggs, good "home" he calls its-uterus for the baby to grow. Nothing abnormal but just not menstruating. We started 3 series on Clomid with no success but just horrible wretched side effects-which was enough for me to call it quits! To top it off, my liver started to grow some weird nodules so we had to postpone starting a family and started doing biopsy for liver cancer.
After 2 years of trying to loose weight, getting in shape, biopsies coming back negative for cancer we finally went back to see my infertility doctor and got counseled, and now getting started on Menupor. I'm not use to all the different terms and abbreviations on here but tonight was my 2nd shot of Menupor and boy did it sting. I have another u/s on Friday and lefts hope that I respond to it. If not my doctor said he'll increase the dosage adn we'll go from there. We are planning on doing IUI so lets hope there are some good outcomes from this one cycle. Like my doctor said, "there's no room for error"..
I'm so scared, any suggestions? Things to look forward to? Just ordered all my meds waiting for everything to arrive tomorrow with the Endometrium shots and HCG...View Thread

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask when I talked to the nurse. Is DH allowed to be present during the retrieval? I know he will have to go give a sample after they are done but I wondered if he would be able to be there before I was put out.View Thread
Have any of you done injectables with timed intercourse or IUI and what did your cycle consist of? What were the side affects of the injetables (compared to clomid or femera if you did them)? Are there any questions I should be asking or concerns I should have at this point?
Here is my history and background up through my appt with my RE today.
Current History:
DH and I have been TTC#3 for 17 months. We did 5 rounds of clomid (50, 100, 150, 150 and 200mg), took 2 months off while switching to an RE. She said I have PCOS and started me on metformin (1500mg) for the first month off and then did BCP for the second since I had a cyst. We did 5mg Femera with a trigger shot and progesterone. I ended up with low beta's and a chemical pregnancy. We went right into another cycle at 5mg Femera. Due to Christmas we couldn't do the trigger shot but I had a pos. OPK on CD20. We still did the progesterone. Again low beta's and another chemical preg.
I just had a consult with my RE and she is a little concerned. In all, I am 1 for 5 with keeping a pregnancy when using fertility meds (either clomid or femera) (I had 2 m/c on clomid before conceiving our first child). She has me taking the month off (on BCP so we don't have to wait for AF to show and then take provera to get her). She is doing a chromosonal test on my and my DH just to make sure it isn't one of us carrying bad DNA and I am doing a dye/x-ray test to see if there is scaring due to 2 c-sections that may be keeping the embryo from implanting and staying. As long as all comes back good there, she wants me to start baby asprin for the medicated cycle and is looking to do injectables. She thinks injectables will give us better eggs and more control during the cycle in hopes of it sticking.
Thank you so much for your time and info!!View Thread
Just wondering if anyone here had to do 5 rounds and if they found success after 4 failures? We are unexplained and they aren't able to pinpoint the exact problem. Hoping all of you had a better year than I have had ... would love to read some updates.
Happy Holidays!!View Thread
