My husband and I have been TTC since November 2009. Last November 2011, We were referred to a RE. Since then, I have used Clomid 50mg for 3 months and Clomid 100mg for 2 months (on days 5-9). I'm getting ready to start my 6th month (which will be my last) on Clomid. I had a HSG done last month (May), which turned out to be completely fine. My RE said that for the next 3 months I have a higher percentage chance of conceiving. I have been charting my BBT and getting an US every month to check for follicles. I ovulated early this last time and my RE said to "Get busy!" We have...lol. My RE also started me on Progesterone Suppositories (which are just awful... messy & make me feel like I could sleep forever!). I started the suppositories on CD 18 and am to finish with them on CD 31 (unless AF rears her ugly head...). My average cylce length is 31 days. I am due to start tomorrow. I spotted lightly from CD 22 - CD 24. I can't really tell if I am about to start or not, based on my symptoms (tiredness, sore breasts, cramps, nausea) because these are all side effects of the Progesterone. I really hope it works for us this month. If it doesn't, my RE said we were going to try IUI (which I'm not very thrilled about...$$$). I was just wondering if there was anyone here that is in the same boat as me...If not, I'd still love to hear some success stories with Clomid & Progesterone! Thanks!! View Thread
My DH and I have been TTC for 2 years. I am 24 and he is 27. We had a sperm count done for him and everything came back okay, so I had a ton of labs done. Our RE told me that I have a low estrogen level and am not ovulating. For the last month I have been charting my BBT every morning before getting out of bed. I also have started having irregular periods about 6 months ago (that's what brought all of this up). Some months I would just spot heavy for 3-5 days and others I would bleed for 2 days and stop. My periods have been very painful also. Before then, they were regular and I knew down to the day when AF would come.
Our RE put me on Provera 10mg for 10 days to start a MC and he wants me to take Clomid 50mg on the 5th day of my MC. But...25 days later, still no period!! I went back for another appointment last Thursday (1-13-12) and he told me that, based on my BBT, I should start within the next 3 days. He also said that the Provera made me ovulate. I was unaware that it did that. I thought it was just to bring on a period?? He said sometimes it does that to ppl...I started spotting later that evening and have been experiencing the symptoms of a period for the last week (cramps, fatigue, headaches, breast tenderness). 5 days later, I am still spotting. This is the second time I have spotted since taking the Provera. Is this normal?
Going by my own personal calendar I am currently 10 days late and I suppose it is due to the Provera. I took a PT at the dr's office and it was a BFN. Our RE wants me to come back next Wednesday (1-18-12) if I having started AF within the next 3 days to have more labs done. He says that means there is something wrong. He wouldn't tell me what it could be. He has me kind of worried now because I really don't think I will start considering today is the 4th day.
What could possibly be wrong if I don't start? I also have hemiplegic migraines and high blood pressure but am not overweight. Both run in my family and I take medication for both. Is there anyone else that has had the same problem that I am currently having?? Any feedback would be awesome! Thanks a bunch!!View Thread
It's me again...I have just finished my first dose of Clomid 50mg after finally having a somewhat normal period. On CD 15 I had an US done and the tech told me that I have an enlarged follicle on my right ovary and that I needed to start having sex every other day with my husband for the next 5-10 days. She didn't explain much about the follicle, just that it was there. I have seen a gynocologist before for a cyst on my right ovary about 2 years ago. He said it wasn't anything to worry about and that it would go away, That's about when all my problems started happening. My DH and I have been doing what the tech said, but we didn't actually get to talk with my RE. Is an enlarged follicle normal?? Is it going to turn into a cyst like before? She didn't tell me exactly how big it was, just that it was bigger than normal. So...I'm kind of in the dark on this one...View Thread
