Hi and welcome. I've been through both IUI & IVF. We did 9 rounds of IUI (simply because our ins at the time didn't cover IVF at all and there was no way we could afford it out of pocket) I did 3 of the 9 with clomid and never responded very well. The remaining 6 rounds we did with injectibles. I responded great with the injectibles, but unfortunatly, never became pregnant. I however, only have 1 tube due to a ruptured ectopic.
We were finally able to switch our insurance and move on to IVF. We just did our first IVF in July of this yr and unfortunatly again it was a negative.
We just did a FET (frozen embryo transfer) and I just found out to today it is positive.
Sorry this is so long, but basically what I'm trying to say is you have to choose which one your heart feels is the right decision for you. IUI is definitley less invasive, but neither one is a guarantee. I know of people who have gotten pregnant on their very first IUI attempt, so follow your heart.
Also that is really cool that your doctor provides a 100% guarantee & a discount. Is the 3 tries for all fresh cycles or does it include a frozen cycle, and freezing of embryos?
Good Luck with your decision & your journey

Well the results are in, and it's a . . . . BFP!! unfortunately though, its a pretty low #. 13
The doctor did say that with FET the betas can come back low. Still doesn't give me much confidence though. I go back on Friday to recheck and hope and pray that it at least doubles. Still having a lot of cramping, its now like a sharp shooting pain in my pelvic muscles are? I don't know what is going on in there! haha
But my E2 was 237 and my progest was 11.7
Glad you are feeling good! You are in my thoughts and prayers everyday! I have 7 month old boy/girl twin neice & nephew and they are awesome!

I only have 14 follicles at my last sono before Retrieval & then Retrieval day came and we ended up with 19 mature follicles! 15 of which fertilized! & we ended up with 9 embryos in the end (we transferred 1 & froze
This journey will mess with emotions that you never imagined you had. But just keep your eye on the end goal (baby in your arms) and it will work out how its supposed to

Sorry its taken me a while to write back. It's been a tough couple of weeks. 3 days after the ET my hubbys gm passed away and so we were dealing with that. I was having really bad cramping the day of the funeral, and 2 days later started spotting.
Needless to say it was a BFN
We actually met with our RE this am to discuss what to do next & to figure out what happend. He couldn't really see anything that went wrong, other than maybe the embryo wasn't really as good as it looked. He said that if we were okay, physically & emotionally he felt okay to actually proceed with a FET for August. (we have 8 embies frozen)
So after bw & sono this morning we decided to proceed. I start the estrogen patches tonight & are currently scheduled for FET on Aug 20th.
Just taking one day at a time right now.

How are you feeling? Good I hope!

I was loving twilight sleep! hehe I went from the table with my legs in the air to being back on the gurney in recovery! Feeling ok, lots of cramping and it hurts like crazy to sit.
French, congrats on your twins!! I hope they are both happy & healthy!
Kris, thank you for the prayers. They mean a lot
