I am father to my son who turned 16 last Saturday, and he spent his birthday in the hospital. Doctors were perplexed by his blood work. He eats very healthy, exercises on a regular basis, and had only taken meds as little baby for his free flowing reflux, but not even as much as an asperin since then.
An ultrasound revealed that his kidneys have not kept up with the growth of his body, so it's only functioning 30% compared to what it needs to be. I am in shock, overwhelmed, and scared for him.
Any suggestions as to where to start learning about this issue?
Do I need to be hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst?View Thread
