On the advice of a friend, I drank a tablespoon of baking soda dissolved in water to combat severe heartburn. The baking soda had been open in his fridge for over a year and against my better judgment, I took it anyway. Although it almost instantly stopped the heartburn, I soon developed severe nausea and diarrhea. Within four hours my kidneys were hurting with pain ranging from 3-7 on a tolerance scale. Today, the day after, I still have an upset stomach and dull pain in my left kidney.
Does anyone have any information related to these symptoms that might assist me?View Thread
