It has been my pleasure to help out on the Knee & Hip Replacement community. I know I leave you in good hands with Caprice and your very talented and caring expert, Dr. Raj.
Please give Caprice a warm welcome. Sending healthy thoughts out to all!!

Sorry for the late reply. I had to check with Best Practices to see if posting a link such as yours would be allowable.
If the material is copyrighted it has to have been published online by your doctor or medical office for general use.
From our standpoint, if your doctor has made the video available online himself, then you can link to it from your post. Where it becomes sticky is if you've uploaded a copy of your doctor's video without his permission.
So, please be sure you of these things before posting. Other than that, I think viewing a taped surgery might be something members would like.

Our WebMD communities are a wonderful place where members find friendship, support, insight and share ideas. However, there are occasions when a post that is made violates WebMD's Terms and Conditions . We rely on our members to help WebMD maintain a safe and comfortable environment where everyone feels at home.
Please know that no other member will know that you've made a report, nor does reporting a post automatically mean it will be removed.
Here are the kinds of posts about which we're concerned:
- Spam
- Advertising
- Personal Attacks (disagreement is NOT an attack)
- Copyright Infringement
- Inappropriate Member Nicknames
- Use of inappropriate slang and/or masked/veiled profanity
- Members discussing their personal physicians by name
- Members who identify themselves as under 13 year of age
- Too much personally identifying information (phone numbers, home addresses, etc)
- Posts containing links to inappropriate sites (pornography, etc.)
- Posts which are nothing more than erotica or soliciting cyber sex.
- Someone planning suicide and needs our help
The best way to handle any such post on our communities is to not reply (other than when someone is in crisis). Instead, you can help your community by alerting the WebMD Community Moderator staff via the "Report This" link found below each post. You even have the opportunity to explain why you are reporting something.
The moderator staff will receive that report and will review the post to determine whether or not it violates the WebMD Terms and Conditions or if the person needs crisis intervention. If the message is in violation of our rules, it will be removed along with any replies.
Please keep in mind that you should only report posts that you feel are violations of WebMD's Terms and Condition or needs a moderator's crisis intervention. Do not report posts simply because you disagree with the information contained within another member's post.
Thank you for helping to keep our WebMD communities on track. It really does "take a village," and we appreciate everyone who helps us to keep our communities a great place to gather together in our quest to stay happy and healthy.
Yours in Health,
~Andie, & The WebMD Community StaffView Thread

Of course, knowing why you should exercise and doing it are two different things. So, this month we are going to make things a little more interesting and give you a challenge!

For the month of April, we would like to challenge those that are ready to a joint-friendly fitness experiment. Let's see if you commit to one month of exercise if it has any impact on your knee or hip pain.
Each week I'll post new resources and articles to help you along the way and the community will be here to support you on your month long challenge. At the end of the month, we will take your stories and feature YOU in an upcoming WebMD Pulse Blog article!
Are you ready to get moving? Here's a couple joint-friendly exercise resources that will give you some exercise suggestions:
- Joint Friendly Exercises (Slideshow give examples!)
- Knee & Hip Exercises for Osteoarthritis
As always, please check with your doctor before attempting to begin an exercise routine. If you have other exercise questions I encourage you to check out and participate on our Fitness & Exercise Community!
Feedback? Let me know your questions or anything else I can do to help you get started!! I'll be checking back in soon!
Good luck!

Welcome to the WebMD Communites! I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.
I encourage you to participate in one of our Trying to Conceive communities . Since this is a Knee & Hip Replacement community, your answers will be limited here. The TTC communities will be able to help as a support group and be able to point you to other online resources.
Good Luck!!View Thread

Thanks for posting your question. I'm sure our community will be chiming in soon with any tips they might have from their experiences.
In your last post you mentioned the hip pain and Dr Raj suggested that you take new X-rays. Were those done? I believe an xray would also show a pinched nerve if that were the case.
You might also consider speaking with a Chiropractor or your doctor about sciatic pain that can sometimes be felt in the buttocks/leg area.
Please check back and let us know what you found out. Good luck and I hope you're feeling better soon!

I apologize that it's taking a little while to get your question answered.
WebMD contracts with our Health Experts to answer as many Member questions that they are able in the amount of time they can devote to checking in on the board. However, it's not likely that they will be able to respond to ALL Member questions, even if they are directly posed to them.
There may be times when Dr. Raj can't answer or may take a little time before answering, and that fits within the expectations of his role here in the community.
I see that Dr. Raj responded to your question about pain after hip replacement and I'm sure he will be responding to your latest question very soon.
I thank you for your patience and hope that perhaps one of our community members may chime in if they have any experience with what you're going through, as well.
