Hi, I had my knee done 11 months ago and I am not happy, even though I had severe vulgus deformity caused by osteoarthritis which meant my knees touch and my feet were about 4 feet apart and yes it has fixed that in one leg but my knee clunks very loudly when I walk and it is very numb still and has a big lump on the outside and it has an attached area on the knee cap that pulls and it feels like it swells and I cant walk very far (my other knee needs replacing) I am too scared to get the other knee done as I have had the hip on that side replaced...I can relate to that feeling it didn't work very wellView Thread
I was 49 when my hip collapsed and I walked around at work on a walking frame on morphine patches, had my hip replaced at 50 and it is a miricle, being honest the operation was hard as you can't lay on your side or bend forward and I was up walking on a frame 2 days after the operation my mum looked after me for 10 days and then I came home and climbed 13 stairs with crutches and just gradually got better I went back to work after 3 months part time but I had to go off for a knee replacment....a whole other story...You will find the pain in you groin, which made my life so miserable has totally gone right from the minute you have it done, I don't even think about it now 18 months later ..Good luck you will be so happy you had it done..View Thread
I had a knee done 11 months ago and also have fibro I found it has all flared up and I am on pain meds Tramadol SR. It has been really hard as I had a hip done 18 months ago and I need the other knee done (but won't let any one near me till it is absolutly essential) My knee is not what I would call a great sucess....5 weeks ins't enough time to know how you will be I am just starting to feel I am walking better now. Good luck and best wishes with it allView Thread
Did you have a spinal??, I had a hip replacment 18 months ago and it is really great but after my knee replacment 10 months ago I feel like my coxic bone is broken like I cant sit on it and my lower back feels swollen like a lumpy area either side of my spine really hurts to the point I have to lay on the bed most of the day and have to take pain meds every day in big doses, i do have fibromyalgia as well but it seems all is worse. I use a hot water bottle and rub heat rub to try to ease the pain. I had to give up work....sorry to hear you are in pain from itView Thread
