I am beginning to waiver and reconsider. The postings here are giving me pause. WOW, so many of you are still having problems. It doesn't sound like this is a very sucessful surgery!View Thread

Again, thank you both for your input. Well, 11/7 can't come soon enough...or can it? I'm still scared, but you have both given me some courage to take on this adventure with me. Thanks!View Thread

I am also 4' 11" and I weigh 186. I am having TKR on 11/7/11 and have been trying to lose weight before surgery. I was never over weight before my knee problems, however, I feel my weight may have exacerbated the onset of my symptoms. My Ortho did not seem to have a problem with my weight, but I sure do. Is it helpful to possibly lose some weight prior to surgery?View Thread
