Begin journaling the days when blue/purple knuckles appear.
Note the activities engaged with during the two previous days and today.
Jot down which hand and particular knuckled are being affected.
Noticing that many of you use the computer, I use keyboard, play
piano, and crochet.
At age 65 I have begun to present purple knuckles. My right index finger was
purple yesterday. Today it is red with a swollen bulge on top.
My middle finger is extremely purple today. I will record tomorrow's progress
in my journal to report to my doctor.
Lately my joints have been achy, sore.
All this leads me to believe it is arthritis related. I have no medications, but
have been told most are bad for the heart.
I do have Reynaud's which affect my toes on both feet regularly. I massage
with cream and it usually disappears. Sitting with feet hanging down is the
worst position for Reynaud's to show up.
Could diabetes be attributed to knuckles? Is it a lupus flare?
All these have been suggested, but am astounded doctors have no

No piano for today. Crocheting is out also. Pecking the keyboard with
index fingers is mandatory now.
