Dr. Bolognesi, thrilled to find you & this community on WebMD. I have a question, am 72 years old, had total hip replacement 8/1/2013 had lumbar endoscoptic discectomony 1/13/2013. I am still having a lot of discomfort in & around hip incision rarely but sometime in groin are.a. Pain in lower back(surgeries have been L2-3 & L4-5) pain lower than these areas, below waist. Have been told that it is Si joints, have had 2 injections in bursa below hip joint, injection in both sI jts, to no avail. Cannot sit over 20mins w/o pain. driving is especially painful. any thing I should do to help this? PT said folded pillow in back of car seat to help hip, do this doesn't help.
