Donot give up--You need to do your exercise at least 3 times a day--work on steps in the normal position but start with up 5 down 5---give yourself credit for the hard work that you have done, Sleeping is a problem for all of us with knee replacements--weather changes, tenderness, cramps, sensation sensitivity all part of the healing process--I might get only 2-3 hours at one time. I had both legs done at one time as I knew I would not go through this surgey more than once and am 64 years old. Walk atleast 2-3 times a day short walks but keep moving. Do not sit in recliner with legs up for more than 20 minutes unless your ankles are really swollen and use ice packs and over the counter pain medication. Have your doctor order PT evaluation if you are not seeing an imporvement they can at least offer a guided home exercise routine. Life will get better!View Thread


If you saw this type of surgery you would understand why your body is totally affected. Sitting in chair all day is not good for you. Get up get moving and you will get betterView Thread
