I have just had a TKR January 7th and before that I had one 1 1/2 ago. I was out from work 5 1/2 weeks the 1st time and will consider going back to work in another week are so. I live by my self both times. The 1st time I had to climb 13 stairs to get to and from my apartment. When I had my 1st TKR I was told I would be out 6-8 weeks. I never heard of being out for 4 months unless your job requires you to use legs alot. Every case is different but I would not put it off. You will always find a aexcuse to keep putting it off. Good Luck.View Thread
