I'm 69 and preparing for total right knee surgery. Oh, boy. I don't know what to think reading the posts. I only have two months of sick leave and I really will need to get back to work. I am reading about the weeks of pain for most and then the unsteadiness. Since I tripped on uneven pavement going into my job and fractured my shoulder in November, I can't imagine finding that after surgery, I will be unsteady on my feet.
Yikes! I'm beginning to think that the pain I've suffered for years may be something I'll just have to live with. Anything I've overlooked?View Thread
I am beginning to agree with you Jamin. I am allergic to anything with Sulpha in it and that keeps me from taking those wonderful supplements which I've taken and found absolutely has me walking on air until the reaction to the Sulpha kicked in.
I wish I could find an alternative to knee replacement surgery.View Thread
I am scheduled to have knee replacement surgery the end of this month. I am fast feeling that I will not be able to have the surgery. I am in pain most days and have been for years but I must work at least part time and just don't have more than two months sick leave. I think I will have to rely on the shots a little longer.
From everything I read, I would need to be out for at least 4 months and even then would be in pain. I was told by my doctor that I would be up and around after two weeks. I think now that was more PR than truth. I also have lots of steps to go up and down. It just doesn't seem as if it's going to work out.View Thread
