Like you My mom has smoked for 50 years and in February she was Diagnosed with lung cancer with mets to the brain we guilted her into having radiation, By guilting i mean the doctors told us she would have a good year if she had the radiation and weeks if she didn't and as her child i want my mother here.. Well 2 days after she finished the radiation my mom was put into a hospice house and she passed away 3/18/12. If i had to do it all again would I??? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! who knows how long she would of had if she didn't have the radiation.. Good Luck with your decisions They are NOT Easy to make..View Thread
