I've had friends who done acupuncture treatment with great success, I'm weaning myself off gagapentin and cymbalta and trying herbal for pain and if it gets too bad for me (the pain), will do acupuncture. Tell you one thing, it sure won't hurt to try. The acupuncturist I will be going to is also a licensed herbalist, who study's eastern chinese medicine.
It's worth a try to look into it, best wishes, View Thread
Hi, I can truly understand what you're going through. I demanded from my primary doctor to be seen a rheumatologist for arthritis, cause that's what I thought I had. And that's when specific blood test were done and lupus showed positive. And Epstein Bar virus!!!
I hope this will help, I also have fibromyalgia and when it's active, which it is now, your body (my body), itches and rash occurs, every inch oh your body hurts. The flaring at comes when the body is at relax mode, and that's when hits, not everyone is the same. I hope you find what works for you
Would like to say, I come here off and on and it's you that really helps me with answers. Whoever this Elizabeth girl is, isn't much help or no help at all. I too have been going through a lot with lupus and especially my fibro. I've decided to wean myself of all meds for my fibro, what I decided was was changing my diet, doing acupuncture and go herbal, the only medication I'll continue is hydroxychlor. I already spoke with my rheumatologist, and he agreed to give it a try, first I'm going to wean off the gabapentin, then cymbalta. I'm neverous as hell, but with Gods grace I am going to give it a try-83D-E0C
Please don't leave your input is very informative and important to us. I too get frustrated that no one responses to our questions, and for that reason I stay away, shame on me -83D-E20

Hi there, I'm having the same problem. The roof of my mouth also feels swollen, it's very difficult to eat, so you don't eat much.
You could try biotien, it's sold over the counter.
I have also have been having problems with my throat, feels as if something is stuck there. Perhaps it's swollen, I have been developing pockets of plaque which makes me feel sick.
Have you experienced that??View Thread
Thanks for your input. I waited a whole week before taking the first pill cause of fear of side effects. I took the first pill at bed time, then the next day day had to take at work during midday, which surprisingly I did well. Is the medication only taken when when having migraines or to be taken everyday... I know, dumb question.
I have not been feeling good lately, I don't know how tell if my pain is lupus or fibro, every time I talk to my rhuematologist he says it's my fibro thats active. But my forehead hurts really bad and my butterfly rash is so present and it constantly burns. Is this a sign of lupus being active??View Thread
Hi everyone, I had a visit with my primary dr for my check up. She prescribes my cymbalta for my fibro, anyway, we were talking about all my meds and headaches that I get frequently and more so the hurt I have all time on my forehead.
My question is, does anyone take this med for their headaches, is this hurt just part of having lupus and fibro and this med will actually work or am I going to take something that may not be necessary. I'm really confused and I haven't started taking it.
Btw, my dr thinks these headaches are migraines. I used to get clusters in the past.
Please any input will be helpful.View Thread
I get it a lot, to the point my hands are effected too, my dr always want to give me muscle relaxers which I always decline. I just joined a gym in hopes of feeling better. Good luck, keep me posted with any news .View Thread
