Now I'm still in pain from joints(esp.my toes) I wake swollen and I ask myself is this from fibro or is the lupus active.
My doctor put me on prednisone for a month, I didn't do well with that.
I would also love to hear from someone out there.View Thread

I'm so so tired and just want to sleep my joints hurt and the joints on my toes are hurting to, which I never really noticed before.
Last night was my worst, I put sour cream in my son's glass instead of his plate.... he thought it was funny, I went to bed after that, left the kitchen a mess, oh well.
Would love to hear if you find anything out.
Take care and God blessView Thread

Whats your opinion on methotrexate,my doc mentioned that one too.
What do you mean when you said " you have the prednisone face and belly". Will taking this drug affect me in one month??View Thread

I started on otc ibuprofen, then Rx: for Motrin 800mg, then Naproxen 500mg and now taking Diclofenac 75mg(Voltaren), and all then not helping with inflammation. I am also experiencing a lot of itching throughout my body. So, i went and got the prescription fill and will give it a try.
My doc said we'll give it a try and will change it to something else if need be.
Now you have thinking, when you said "if the benefits are worth the risks".
Guess I'll never find these thing if I don't try

Gracias, my friend

Well, yesterday Imeet with my new rheumatologist, says my lupus is mild form but active. I'm taking hydroxychlor 200mgx aday, and because of my swelling and joints aching he also gave me rx: for prednisone. He also mentioned methotrexate, but decided to first try the prednisone.
My question is: should I be afraid to start the predniisone, one hears stories about steroids, and thats what makes me nervous. Is this dumb of me to feel this way??View Thread

I have lupus and fibromyalgia, I'm going on 2mo. my entire body won't stop itching, my body hurting and very sun sensitive, to the point were it feels like I have the flu.
I am currently taking hydroxychlor and cymbalta, diclofenac. I'm going to request for a new rhumy, my current one keeps telling I need to exercise, ( how can I when I'm not feeling good!).
So my question, what step to I take next as far as meds, what do I do to stop this itching, I also have been waking up with stiff and swollen joints.
How do I get through my doctors??
As far as taking cymbalta, what what better for fibro.
My right TMJ, I've had my bite adjusted, I noticed when my joints are swollen and hurting so does my tmj, and thats a son of a gun

Right I'm miserable, and no one really seems to understand cause I have a high pain tolerance and I don't stop till it's too late, and I know that is my fault.View Thread
