You have it exactly right, and honestly he doesn't have any members medical charts, so he doesn't have any medical history. It's really in everyone's best interest to seek their own doctors advice and if they are unhappy for them to look into a second opinion of a doctor they can take their charts to and be evaluated.
Marilyn, Dr. Zelman was not excluding you, he was just simply stating he isn't here to give 2nd opinions or to be used in place of your own doctor.
I am sorry you are struggling so much HG, all of the issues you spoke of we are trying to resolve or find a solution to make it easier for our members. I know it's hard to stay patient but I assure you we are working on the problems and hope to have some of it working better very soon.
For me, having health problems of my own, also having a child with a cleft lip, I am excited about the pre-existing condition clause. I find a lot of benefit to the new Health Care Reform, still some drawbacks to, but I think overall a good start.
Deb sadly for your children they'll not have it until 2014, really the elderly are getting help with prescriptions and there are no more pre-existing conditions allowed anymore. Did you read the article I attached it talks a bit more about what happens now and what happens in 2014.
I believe they have heard that request, unfortunately I don't know if it's something they are able to do or not. I'll let you know if they let me know. If you use fire fox for a browser when the red line comes up under a word it means it's misspelled and if you right click on it fire fox will bring up suggestions of ways to spell it right.
Ah Marilyn, no you didn't miss notices, she was born January 25th and we were gearing up for the new exchanges so I felt it better not to, I only took 2 weeks off work when she was born so it's been very crazy here working the hours I have been and dealing with a newborn. Thankfully I have a great support system with my co-workers and my family.
My daughter (her name is Elizabeth) is the youngest of 5, I thought I was done having babies 8 years ago. My older children are all boys however, my oldest just turned 16 last Thursday. It's a busy house as I am sure you can relate to, the boys are 16, 12, 10, and 8 with the baby now 7 weeks old. She's gonna be spoiled by all her brothers who love on her all the time . Thanks for the congrats, yes with my oldest hitting 16 this week, I realize just how fast they grow up!
Congrats to your daughter graduating college that's a big deal! You're in my thoughts and prayers!
