I really dont know. You wouldn probably need to go talk to a doctor and have a semen analysis in order to determine if there is a fertility issue. There are also some tests you can buy over the counter to test for infertility, not sure how reliable they are, but its worth a shot if you are not able to afford or do not want to go into the doctors office for the results.
there are herbal supplements like fertilaid products or MEGA MAN GNC with contains all the vitamins and nutrients a man needs to be able to produce healthy and viable sperm. but like any new regiment it may take up to 3 months to see results. look up the information on the gnc website take it to your doctor and see if he or she agrees that it has enough of what you need and if not they can suggest other foods that contain what you need to gain the rest.
Count means you have 2 million per mililiter as a total. I believe in a healthy ejaculate is around 100-200 million per mililiter. My husband has 60 million per ml total and then after the "sperm wash" has 12 million. Anything above 20 million is still considered normal. So you are on the lower end of the spectrum. Motility means how the sperm are moving and swimming once inside the vagina.
I am assuming since it says nil and immotility is 100% that your sperm are not moving. Morphology is the shape of the sperm. Healthy sperm have a spear-like head to burrow into the egg and a tail. Some abnormal sperm can have two tails, two heads, etc. And the sperm volume, now I am guessing here is the amount of fluid carried with the sperm.
For a better interpretation of this, you would need to consult your doctor and have them explain which criteria they followed. Some clinics use the Kruger test or the one regulated by WHO. Maybe to help improve you can take multivitmans such as the GNC Mega Man vitamin. It has all of the natural nutrients to help improve count and motility. You can also take additional vitamins such as a B-Complex vitamin to help jump start your hormones.
You can also have the doctor run a hormone or blood work up to make sure your hormones are all normal. And if there is a nutrient deficeiency, it can usually be correct with taking a really good vitamin or prescribed medication. Good luck.View Thread
Thanks for this. I spoke to my OB and showed her the information on the back of the Mega Man bottle and she said that the daily value he is receiving from taking two pills a day over the next 3 months will be sufficient enough to aid in her conception process. As well as continuing to eat the right food and stay active. As much as I would love to shove all these pills down DH throat to increase our chances, I still have to respect his wishes. And right now the two that he is taking he is having a hard time taking due to the taste, the smell and they are causing him to have really bad heartburn.
So I think if I can continue to give him those vitamins in a food he will be much happier and hopefully more healthy. But thanks for that. I saw that book the other day and opened it and it said "Congratulations your Pregnant". I was like ooppps not there yet.View Thread
Thats awesome! Congrats! When you get time if you dont mind to give me the numbers of the Vitamin A, E and Zinc, that would be amazing. I am hoping to get news by the end of January that we are pregnant, so that I can tell my husband that he is going to be a father on his birthday on Feb. 2nd then make a trip home before Valentines Day and tell our families.
Hoping for a New Years resolutions. Happy Holidays!View Thread
Hi Ladies, I have recently bought the Mega Man GNC Vitamins for my husband, I would say he has been taking them for a little over 2 weeks now. He takes two vitamins a day. So in my mind its amounted up to four weeks. Because most vitamins usually only require you to take one pill a day. So I am hoping by the time the IUI rolls around in the middle-later part of January, that his numbers and motility will be better to improve our chances of conception. A bottle of 90 pills for 19.99 tax. Which cost me a little less than 21 dollars. So its not that expensive.
this is the site directly for the bottle I was talking about and you can review what is in the pill so that you can relay to your doctor exactly what DH is taking as a multivitamin. AmyAALC, can you take a look at this review and tell me or us if you think it is sufficient enough to increase count and motility.
I hope this helped and that I wasn't just babbling out information.
dont think we will be getting a response. I have been waiting a month for an answer. I am going to just take the ingredients and ask our RE what would be the most beneficial way to take this. Would it be better to take a pill or mix it up?
If you find out, let me know. And when I get something I will let you know.View Thread
is there a medicine or multivitamin that has all of these items to avoid taking a handfull of pills on a daily basis? We have incorporated eating more fruit, vegtables, fish and beef along with juices high in antioxidents and vitamin C, E, D, and A. But the one bad thing is that he smokes, and he has for a long time. But at the same time, people who do various drugs (male and female) who are still able to get pregnant. What is the percentage that tobacco contributes to fertility issue?
You said you drink that stuff. Are you saying its like a milk shake type thing or you are taking these vitamins? I am asking because you can find the majority of those items in a multivitamin like one a day equate which is what my husband is taking. But what most interests me is that the amount of the count that went up. That is a big jump.
Just a little clearer on the instructions would do me wonders when I try to pitch the idea to my husband. What inspired the items that you are taking? research or doctors recommendation?View Thread
