It isn't fun what you are going through but there is hope and things you can do to make it much better. Vaginal estrogen comes in several forms and it will reverse the atrophy you are experiencing. There are several creams with different dosages that work well and also vaginal rings that you insert for 3 months. I have used both and they help so much. Ask your doctor to prescribe them. HRT gets a bad rap at times but it helped me maintain my sanity and sex life through menopause.
Someonewhocares3 is giving you good advice. I too had a hysterectomy in early thirties and I am your age and suffered the same symptoms. Estrogen is the answer. Vaginal estrogen will help with the dryness and reverse the thinning of the tissues. Your GP can give you the script.
I wouldn't waste time with herbal remedies, science has moved beyond that.
I never had an UTI until going through menopause then I had them frequently until I started using topical low dose estrogen supplements. After starting these (Estrace Cream and Femring), I have had none. There appears to be a connection between low estrogen related vaginal dryness/atrophy and UTIs. Maybe Dr. Jane can tell us why.
I assume by partial hysterectomy you have intact ovaries. I also had my uterus and cervix removed at about the same age as you did. I started with the hotflashes at 50 and then came thinning hair, mood swings, loss of libido, vaginal dryness, insomnia and general bitchiness. My husband was and is a saint to be so patient with me. I would guess you are perimenopausal if not in full menopause. The symptoms vary with individual women and few of them are much fun. I understand some women have few or no significant symptoms. I seemed to get them all. HRT helps greatly and since you and I are without our uteruses we can safely take estrogen without progesterone and get some relief.
I never used it twice daily. I started using it once every other day for maybe a year. Then I dropped off to once a week and have continued that and it seems to be enough. My hair has never been thick and is very fine. It was scary when I saw it getting even thinner.View Thread
I was prescribed a compounded version of low dose testosterone cream to raise my libido. I used it for six months and noticed absolutely no change. What I did find helpful was frequent sex with lots of lube and lots of foreplay. Even when I wasn't in the mood I forced myself. Before long I was back to a reasonable level of desire, not like when I was 25 but an acceptable level. I think testosterone therapy does help some women but it didn't work for me.
