Two things worry me: 1.- If I do not have the surgery and continue with the HRT am I in a high risk of developing uterus cancer? & 2.- what can I expect after loosing the uterus?View Thread

Yes I have tryed over 10 different hormones and I get HUGE head aches. And the only hormones that does not give me the head aches are those which do not protect my uterus.
I have also had transvafinal ultrasounds every 3 months to make sure it is not thickening, but my Dr. says with this hormones it will.
My doctor told me that in the new surgery they won´t take out the cervix wich will prevent my bladder from dropping and he said my sexual life would not be affected at all. Not sure if I can trust him though
I will go deep into the "pubmed organ vaginal prolapse post hysterectomy" and the endometrial cancer link.
It feels good to talk to someone who can understand, none of my friends are there yet.
Thks again!!!

None of my friends are there either and sometimes it is hard to deal with it, they just do not get it so I can understand you. Now I found a way to laugh at myself and I sent my two best friends a whole list of symthoms on menopause.
Relax and do not try to fight it... just flow with it. It helps!
Hope you get better!View Thread

I went to a ayurvedic doctor (who is a regular doctor as well) and it was so wierd because before I told him anything he just placed his hand in the center of my chest and had that exact pain again (it really hurt) and he looked straight to my eyes and said "you are sooo sad" and I said no am not and he told me that was the cause of my chest pain.
I still wake up with the chest pain, I think I will check it with a cardiologist cause it is still really scary.View Thread

I went through menopause after surgery as well 2 months ago. I am 40 and I´ve been to hell and back. I wasn´t aware this would occur either so it was pretty shoking!! I have been taking the HST for 10 weeks already. It does help but still having hot flashes and a mood rollercoaster.
Last week I ended up inside WalMarts fridge crying -not funny- but I have decided not to fight it but to flow with it and I try to stand still and breath through every hot flash and at least it affects me less. What can I tell you ..... it really sucks. I am also taking some homeopathy medicine and hope it will help me.
Sometimes it feels like no one gets it and I am on my own dealing whith this whole new life but I can tell you attitude has really helped me.
Good luck!!View Thread

I thought (was told) I was not going to get my period anymore and now I am bleeding what the hek!
I got one HRT shot 4 weeks ago and the effects of hormones are gone, I have all the syntoms again.... and now all the menstrual symtoms also... i am going nuts!!!!
Is this normal?View Thread

I had a surgical menopause 6 weeks ago -I am 40- and I thought there was something really wrong with my heart. A couple of night ago I was sure I was having a heart attack. My dad also died of a heart attack at 42 so imagine the panic. Yesterday I took a blod analysis to determinate my genetic predisposition to clotting.
I have an appointment with my GYN next Monday and that was at the top of the list of my concerns.
I will get back and tell you what my GYN says about it.
Not that I am glad you are experiencing this but it helps so much to hear I am not the only woman going through this.View Thread

Stick out your tonge and roll it and then pull air through it -as if it was a straw- this will cool you down.
My ChiKung teacher gave me this tip and it works for me!View Thread
