I'm happy to see so many of us finding answers, yet so sad that it has taken years and the medical world seems so in-the-dark about these things. First of all, I entered perimenopause in my late 30's. Ladies, if your doctor or practioner tells you that you're too young and that "can't be it", go somewhere else! I suffered for 2-3 years because they wouldn't believe me. YOU know your body. I've been going through menopause for several years now (now in my mid 40s) and I can tell you from experience that LOTS of things are hormone related that no one ever told us about. There seem to be many different levels of symptoms. Just as you get a handle on one set, others begin. Just recently I started experiencing the sore breast/nipple problem. I had forgotten that that is a possible symptom of menopause. I am on HRT and nipple soreness is on the questionairre. Fortunately, I found a good compounding pharmacist who understands, and a doctor who will work with her. I finally remembered about that question (after wondering what in the world was going on in my breast) and googled and found you all. I hope you will empower yourself and find a good doctor/pharmacist knowledgeable about HRT who will help. It's an insult that the commercials always only talk about hot flashes - yes, those too - but it involves SO much more and you CAN feel better! God bless!View Thread
