Thank you for your reply. I have been to see a reproductive endocrinologist and she talked to me about freezing eggs but unfortunately was not able to in my circumstances because I didn't have enough eggs for it to be viable. She did mention donor eggs so that is an option for me in the future when i am in a position to start a family.
Thank you for your tips, I will definitely have a look at menopause.org and see another specialist in the future.
Hi I'm 34 and have been living with a hypothyroid condition and peri menopause symptoms for a few years now. The hot flushes were really hard to deal with especially because people don't understand why I'm having them. I can't exactly say "sorry just menopause!" At my age people just look at you funny and say "no you're too young" and to that I say "tell that to my ovaries!"
I was holding on to the hope of falling pregnant before my periods stopped but I was single when I was diagnosed and so it took a year before I was in a serious relationship and then once the relationship became serious I went off the pill but but then I came to the revelation he wasn't for me and we broke up. I had my ovaries egg tested and they told me I have next to nothing in the way of eggs and I was left devastated. I'm only 34, single, barren, and menopausal. My periods are just about finished but on the plus side I haven't had a flush got a long time.
It was good to read about other women's anxiety and depression, I can attribute some of this to the menopause at least as I have been really down and dealing with anxiety and mild panic attacks. It doesn't help when all my friends are at the Age they are either pregnant or new mums. Like rubbing salt in the wound.
Are there any other 30 something's going through this? I know it must be hard for you 40 yr olds to go through but try going through it in your early 30's
It is good to hear everyone's story though and see how common it is.
I'm wondering if there is anyone on here that has had early onset menopause but managed to slow it down or still get pregnant? A little positive encourage would be lovely View Thread
