47 y/o male, 5'9", 180, stocky build, in good shape except my pants are getting tight and the love handles are bigger than I would like.
My normal routine has always been to drink coffee for breakfast, eat a sandwich and chips for lunch, and whatever was for dinner. Because of my alternating work schedule I would eat leftovers for lunch every other week.
That used to work for me. Now apparently it doesn't.
So I decided to replace all lunches with fruit. A banana and an apple, maybe some grapes, etc. whatever it takes to satisfy my hunger, usually an apple and banana followed by a protein shake.
Friends are saying that the fruit will actually make me fatter, because of the big sugar intake. I disagree.
