You may have gootten rid of the problem on the surface of the skin area, but it can return because the fungus may just be diminished or regenerating. When it comes back, and it will, you need to go see a doctor and get something to decimate it once and for all.View Thread
The reason you are directed to follow up with a physician if you see no results after 1-2 weeks of self treatment is because a persistent fungal infection may 1) require a stronger dose or a different anti-fungal compound that is not as resistant to the general OTC treatments and 2) it may be indicative of a more acute disease process brewing such as hyperglycemia which could lead to you becoming Diabetic. I mention this not to alarm you, but to highlight the importance of early screening before a life threatening emergency arises.

I am so jealous and I hate you guys for complaining. I live in Florida and my wife has to use Nair for men twice a month to keep it off my back. I don't really care if it grows anywhere else though trimming the pubic area keeps her interest peaked in that region, but on the back it itches, captures moisture so I don't wear any type of dress shirt without a tee shirt underneath it. I don't know if you have ever been to web sites like Foreskin.org or acroposthion.com where you could actually look at pictures of other men's penises, but you will notice that we come in all shapes and sizes just like women do. My wt and height are similar to yours and so are the symptoms that you are describing. The only difference is that I am 43. For our height and wt, our bodies are not built to carry that much wt. for long periods of time before it buckles under the stress of it. I think you need a sleep study to see if you have obstructive sleep apnea. People our size usually don't get enough sleep because our body's keep waking us up so that we can get into a better sleep position that allows the brain and heart to get the optimum amount of oxygen needed to do our recuperative functions while we sleep. That was the reason why I had no energy, lots of fatigue, and constant body aches. No energy and constant pain means you can't loss the wt. which is the cause of most of our problems. My suggestion is that if the city or county you live in has a local free clinic, you try and be seen by a doctor or nurse there and tell them what my recommendations were. My remedy was a small machine called CPAP with a mask that I wear when I go to bed. I am waking up more rested and able to try an get the exercise to loss this wt, which would resolve the pain as well. Write back and let me know what happens.View Thread
