I have posted on here before asking advice about a mild case of phimosis, if I'm spelling. I'm getting married soon so I've been trying to get it figured out. From my research, I've found out that you can often stretch it, possibly with the help of a steroid cream.
So, I bought some hydrocortisone and tried stretching it with that, but I didn't do it very consistently and thought it wasn't very powerful probably, so I went to see a doctor.
Here's the problem. He had NEVER HEARD OF STRETCHING it. He simply said circumcision was the way to treat it. I told him about using a steroid and he said in 30 years he'd never heard of it. He said I could try it, so he gave me a prescription of.... exactly the same thing, hyrdocortizone 1%.
So my question is, will this help, or is it a fruitless endeavor? Suppose I spend 15 minutes per evening trying to stretch it-- will I see any results?
If not, how can I find a doctor that knows about options other than circumcision? I really don't want to go that drastic route.
Thanks! I should say I'm a 21 year old virgin.View Thread
Tonight I just felt a small (maybe 1/4-1/3 inch diameter?) knot of some sort under the skin on the very low testicular area. Has anyone had this before? What could it be? SHould I be worried? Thanks!! It doesn't hurt by the way.View Thread
Hello, I'm 21 and I've got a mildish form of phimosis. I'm trying to slowly stretch the skin over time. Wikipedia mentions that sometimes a topical steroid cream is used, such as betamethasone. I'm wondering, is this a prescription type of drug? I can't really afford to go to a doctor. Can I get it over the counter?
I am wondering what is normal for an uncircumcised penis. Is it normal that it is sensitive when retracted? Or should I retract it often enough so that the sensitivity goes away? Do uncircumcised men even simply leave it retracted for the day? Thanks! I'm 21 and unmarried (a "virgin" although I thought that applied to females only!).View Thread
I posted ages ago asking about what should be done for a tight foreskin. I was told I should try stretching it very, very, slowly, over a long period of time, and that I should by a type of cream to help.
Well, I try to retract it as often as possible but I haven't actually spent much time stretching it-- and I forgot what I was supposed to buy to help. Any recommendations?
Would it help if I left it retracted for longer periods of time? I'm not sure if that's healthy-- it's pretty sensitive when retracted and might be a bit painful.
