Thank you Lori-your post is very interesting because over a year ago I was working with a nutritionist who put me on a 30 day cleasnse diet which included some kind of shakes to drink 3x's a day. My migraines went away totlally during that time & I tried to slowly introduce certain foods back into my diet but couldnt pin point what was causing the migraines. Could it be gluten, dairy chicken & turkey? DeniseView Thread
Please visit the depression community as well-you may find more specific help relating to depression. Did you know that you can get some depression/anxiety meds filled at Walmart for $4.00 with or without insurance?
I know things are tough for you now, but thank God you have a beautiful little daughter to brighten your spirits.View Thread
Hi, Denise chiming in here! One thing I have learned over the years is to keep journals. I have 3 health problems:Migraines, Fibro & Sleep problems, therefore I keep 3 separate journals for each. Just a couple notes on each one, each day. Then I am able to keep track of whats going on with my health so I can better relate that to the doc. I have my migraine notepad where I indicate if I had a headache or migraine that day & what I took to help it & if it helped. Being proactive can help you to communicate more efficiently with you doc, so they can better help you. Thats what you can do on your end, now what the doc can do on his or her end, well maybe Dr. Collins can chime in!View Thread
Hi Daisy & welcome to the post...It sounds like you are really struggling with the migraines. I understand completely, as I have had them for about 15 years-they started around when I was about your age. I too have tried so many different drugs & your right, it does seem as if our bodies become immune to them & then we have to try something else.
I havent tried Botox-it scares me-but maybe I need better educated on the risks/benefits of it. I know its getting alot of media play however. If you go that route, please check back & let us know how it goes for you.
Having a job where you are continually at the computer is killer for us migraineurs-make sure you take lots of breaks just to stretch your neck & back & give your eyes a break.
Good Luck-I hope you get some relief, DeniseView Thread
