My son has suffered with these for the past 4 years. Sometimes he gets left side paralysis and sometimes right with loss of speech and sometimes whole body paralysis. He has been on epilepsy drug topirimate for the past 3 years after trying various other drugs that made him put weight on and his blood pressure up. Topirimate has been fantastic and has reduced his episodes of paralysis to nearly nothing and now has maybe one migraine a month compared to one a week. He is 19 years old now and less stressed and managing to lead virtually a normal life going out with his friends again and has even managed to move out from home and try it on his own. Hope this helps and gives some of you hope.View Thread
