I have had multiple trauma to my head. Since the age of 9, I have had severe migraines. Years with Neurology, it has been diagnosed as Post Concusion Migraines. (I have had concusions).
It feels as if the pain begins in my spine, travels up to the back of my neck to my brain stem. Then a horrible pressure builds in my ears, head. Meds have not worked. This can last days at a time. The only thing that may make it feel better is when the pressure causes my nose to bleed. Once my nose bleeds, the migraine will subside.
Light, noise, movement, nausea, stiffness, halo's, at it's worse I have had visual disturbances.
Is there anything that may help me? Neuro doesn't think so...
Since the age of 9, I have had severe migraines. (I suffered alot of head and body trauma's due to abuse and being hit by a car, etc) They start of with noise bothering me, then light, nausea, vertigo and then progress. It seems like a pressure builds in my spine and travels up to the base at the back of my neck when the migraines hit in full force. I also get severe pressure in my ears at this time. These migraines generally last 3-5 days. Movement is impossible. Prescription meds did not help. The only thing that helps is when the pressure becomes so severe and then my nose will bleed. This relieves some of the pressure and pain. Could my migraines be caused by damage to my spine, as that seems to be where the pain and pressure begins? My doctor calls my migraines, post concussion migraines as I have had concussions. Neuro tests found plague on the spine and brain during one MRI but another showed clear.View Thread
