I am a 29 year old male diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome at the age of six. I have been experiencing neurological symptoms such as head pressure, lightheadedness, feeling of faint, anxiety attacks and weakness since 2005(I was 22 then). Having been to different doctors and neurologists throughout the years, with two MRI scans, a series of EEG's where on one occasion had to stay for an entire day at a major city hospital. All of them find nothing that can be related to a seizure(even though I experience twitches and hand jerks that may qualify for a seizure disorder, in medical terms). These symptoms could last for about three weeks average, but in recent episodes can last for two or three months before they subside. Throughout the next couple of years, I had those same episodes, but they usually last for a few weeks time before they disappear. During this period, I continued seeing different neurologists and specialists, took countless blood work, but did not find anything that relates to this pattern.
Today, I felt the same thing, but this time is more frequent than in the years past. Usual symptoms include but not limited to: lightheadedness, sensitivity to light and sound, pressure and tingling in one side of the head, some tingling throughout the arms and other parts of the body, unsteadiness while walking or standing, facial twitching, vocal tics and some irritability. In addition, I also get both panic attacks along with nausea. I've taken different natural supplements to help lessen these migraine-like symptoms, but I usually get very little results. I then taken Advil to cure migraine headaches, but the relief only lasted for one day before all of the symptoms returned.
The biggest challenge while experiencing a migraine episode is that sitting down with the family in the kitchen table was too uncomfortable for me. I feel very weak and about to pass out. To cope with this, I usually eat meals by myself in a separate room. I also avoid going to public places because of loss of balance.
Because of these ongoing migraine problems, I had to drastically made some lifestyle changes, like going to bed a little early and also cut down on some of the food I eat. All through my life I used to eat cakes, cookies during snack time and also foods containing dairy-related items like pizza and cheese, but I have since stopped consuming those stuff a few months ago as it may have contribute to the migraines I am having right now. I also had to limit my time on the computer and video gaming to try to reduce the severity of the migraine. While video gaming, I occasionally wear my glasses with theraputic Zeiss lenses out of concern that staring at certain patterns on the TV screen could cause photosensitive seizures, even though I never have been diagnosed with epilepsy in my life.
I need to know if anyone here ever experience similar symptoms to what I am going through? These migraine-like symptoms have thus disrupted my everyday life and temporarily put some of my plans on hold. Sometimes the severity of my migraines was so overwhelming that I had to stay in bed for a couple of days, especially when I felt weakness while standing or a severe headache on any side of the head. I sometimes have to walk with a cane due to concerns that I might pass out because of the lightheadedness. Earlier this year, I was well enough to resume my daily activities until this past May when the migraines gradually reemerged. These could last for a few months with proper rest before subsiding temporarily.

Have you been to different doctors, specialists and neurologists to figure out what is causing your problem like mine? Also when did you started to have these migraine problems? After series of visits with all of my specialists throughout the years, they do not have a clue on what is causing my own migraine problem.
This week, no let-up of the migraine problem. When I went with my family to a local Chinese buffet restaurant, I was very uncomfortable sitting with my family together because I had to keep adjusting my body as I sit to minimize the seizure-like jerking movements and amid concerns that I might pass out in public. This also applies to the kitchen table as well.
Another one I found out is that I was very unstable standing while watching my brother's plane landed at the local airport from a business trip, so I had to rush to my seat until my brother comes out of the boarding area. However, when I had to help him carry a travel bag, the unsteadiness and lightheadedness subside a little bit. Once again, this also applies when I pick up a workout dumbbell set and any other heavy object.
As a temporarily measure, I have started to lay off of my Android tablet for a week or two to see if this migraine subsides. Every day, I use the tablet to view Youtube videos and play games. It remains unclear if exposure to these tablet devices can worsen a migraine problem. This so-called "cold-turkey" of iPad(or Android) was just an experiment I am trying out to hopefully get rid of this migraine.
I'll be checking out different doctors that can treat a person with migraine headaches. This is a type of specialist I have never seen since I start having this migraine problems in 2005.View Thread
