How much would you think the percentage is of fraternal twins who are significantly different in size? I am being harassed by DHS and they took my children because one of my twins is noticeably smaller. They say I am not feeding her and that she appears to have had her hair cut short, but she's always been smaller and her hair doesn't grow very fast. I am devastated they think that I would favor any one of my kids, but more harshly that I favor one twin over the other. They took all four of my kids citing medical neglect because of this. Any advice on this would be wonderful.View Thread
Do any of you guys know where I can find a triple stroller for cheap? New or used would work. My best friend is getting ready to foster (and hopefully eventually adopt) newborn triplets! I would really like to surprise her with a triple stroller if I can find one cheap enough. They are so expensive!!!View Thread
Hi! I'm Erin and I am currently 14 weeks pregnant with twins. My husband and I have a 20 month old daughter already. My question is what are your suggestions of the best double stroller/car seat combinations to buy. I have been trying to find a double stroller that accepts infant seats and there aren't that many to choose from. Any suggestions? Also did you have 2 cribs right away or did they share a crib at first? Any advice on preparing for twins is much appreciated! Thank-you. ErinView Thread
I have 2 sets of twins. The 1st set are boys age 3 1/2 and the 2nd set are b/g 18 mo.. Wow are our lives crazy right now! I was just wondering if anyone else out there have a similar situation? Maybe have any parenting advice that has worked for them. My husband and I both work fulltime (who could afford childcare w/ 4?) I work days while my Hub works evenings. So we feel like married "single" parents most of the time since we never get to parent together. Life can be stressful View Thread

Short version- kelsey ann and karleigh nicole arrived on february 22nd.
Long version- I was induced on February 22(also my 31st birthday) and labored for about 2 hours i think when they decided to move me down to the OR to break my water. They thought they could feel either a cord or a hand between the babys head and my cervix so for safety they moved me. Once down in the OR i was moved to a operating table and they broke my water and thank the lord nothing major happened, the baby continued to have a strong steady heartbeat. I figured i could go back up to my room but no since i was dialated to 6 and they were planning on moving me at 8 i stayed down in the OR. By this time it was around 11:00. I continued to labor until around 6 something when it was finally determined that i was fully dialated. The nurses would say i was at 10 and then the doctor would come in and say i was a 7 this happened like three times until the doc finally said yes i was complete. I pushed until 6:25 pm when Kelsey Ann arrived. After Kelsey was out i expected the second baby to come quickly and easily....and was wrong! I labored and pushed for another two hours when they decided to put the vacuum cup on Karleighs head to help her out. Her head was turned slightly making it hard for her to move down. Karleigh Nicole entered the world 2 hours and 9 minutes after her sister and was born at 8:34 pm.
It was such an amazing experience even though i was exausted at the end of it. I had a great labor and never even felt a contraction. The doc had wanted me to have an epidural in case i had to have a c-section so i got that before they even induced my labor. I felt very blessed to be able to deliver the girls vaginally and avoid the c-section.
Kelsey weighed 5 lbs and 12 ounces at birth and Karleigh weighed 5 lbs and 5 ounces at birth. Both girls are doing great and are wonderful sleepers and eaters.
sorry it took me so long to post but i had to figure out the new style of webmd and find the mothers of multiples board which took me a while.View Thread
Whatever happened to all of the posts from the multiples board? Would it be possible to import them here to get us started? There was an awful lot of useful information that might just get lost otherwise... and that would be such a shame ...View Thread
