It may be someone you know personally, someone you run into in your community, someone you have seen at a doctors appointment, someone you know from other online social media outlets.

Also, please feel free to share any events going on in your area.
Have you seen the broccoli with the orange "MS Join the Movement" rubber band?
Here's to Awareness,

Glad to have you join the community for support, advice, information and just to chat!
How have you been doing managing your symptoms?
ElizabethView Thread

Definitely - Yes! Closed/read only threads are on the list. Not sure which roll out or update this is scheduled for though.
In the meantime, I would be happy to add a note to the thread or a date to the title.
Thanks!

So - Unfortunately, the boxes can not be moved around at this time, due how the page is set up. I am not techy so please forgive me for not explaining in techy terms.
All of our (WebMD staff and members) suggestions are kept and categorized for consideration when new releases are planned.
I haven't had a chance to play around with the middle box yet, maybe tonight after the dreaded homework, dinner, bath, bed routine is finished.

Hopefully this will help!

Wanted to give the link for our debate community -
WebMD Community Talk Show
We have about 3 new topics each week. Check it out and feel free to weigh in on the topics (old or new) that interest you.
Thanks,
ElizabethView Thread

Feel free to post what you did over the weekend, what you have planned for the week, or just, how you are feeling today.
I'll start -
My name is Elizabeth and I live in winterless (no that is not the name of the town) Florida. Highs in the 80's and pollen counts in the billions!
I am married and have a 7 year old daughter in first grade. I retired from a career in health care administration 7 years ago. When my girl started school I was fortunate enough to begin working with WebMD.
I am a Community Moderator and I am on the Social Media team (Like us on FB, Follow us on Twitter, Join our Circle on Google+).
I am fortunate enough to have a somewhat flexible schedule which allows me to be a stay-at-home mom, albeit a working one.
I do not have MS and could never attempt to offer advice to those of you suffering with it. I tend to sit back and provide any links, news, and research that I think this community could benefit from.
I will say I am honored to be a part of one of our most supportive and knowledgeable communities.
So, did your team win last night? What did you think of Madonna's half-time show? 53 years old, I'm impressed!
Who's next?View Thread

Yes, I see what you mean. And, the orange button (above experts) also draws your eye to the right. I can see this area being a better place for the links.
We are limited to where we can put things at this time. I can easily change the lower third of the Announcement Box. The upper two thirds are programmed with Community Wide and Category announcements.
You have sparked some questions for me to ask our engineers. Maybe, I can play with the middle of the box (which you don't see right now) for a different look.
And as always, members suggestions are sent in for consideration!
Thanks,
ElizabethView Thread

Sorry for the late reply and thanks for bringing this to my attention. Going to check this out now!
THanks,
ElizabethView Thread

Thanks for taking the time to go through the links and make suggestions. I will forward your thoughts and suggestions up the chain!
Your observations about watching before posting are interesting and accurate (see my response to hackwriter for updates coming). We know many come to the community regularly and do not post. We also know it is difficult to find a warm, safe place to post your feelings, symptoms and frustrations and many just hang out for awhile before posting.
We hope our communities can offer something for all, posters and non-posters alike. Members here do a great job giving valuable, accurate, advice and support. Gotta love community!
