Betaseron is not working out for me, I have asked my neuro if there was a pill form DMD, he told that there were many options and wants to talk to me about them. Before I talk to him I wanted to ask if anyones experiences with the pill form.
Are the pill DMD just as good as the injectable DMD? and are there better ones then others, and ones that I should stay away from do to bad side effects.
Hi Kim, I have a question, I was diag. 9\2010 after a long ride on the doctor guessing trail. I have one lession in my right temporal lobe and have had it for 10 plus years with no change in size or inhansement, also no new lessions. My symptoms are much worse, I just had a MRI c-spine and thoracic spine.
I expected it to light up like a christmas tree based on how I feel, both were negitive. (can't understand this).
I wen't over the MRI with my neuro. and asked if the MS diag. could be wrong, he replied no it is correct, he said, lessios could be very small and could not be pick up on the MRI. ( Is this correct?)
My next question was ok, so with no new lession that can be seen does this mean less disability later on, he said yes.
I don't know what to beleive any more, I'm tired of this masquerade party that this disease thinks it at.
Hi Pam, I receive this IV therapy monthly both chemo and steriods at the same visit. The only side effects I get is lots of energy and don't sleep well that night, they will probably give you an anti nausa drug before the chemo, I have never felt any nausa after this treatment and I have been receiving this treatment going on my second year now. WOW can't believe it's been this long.
My neuro told me that he has many patients on therapy as long as 10 years. Everyone is different but you will probably be fine with it.
I'm starting Betaseron, could anyone who is taking this or has just started, give me a heads up on what to expect. I was diag. a little over year ago i,ve been receiveing monthly infussions of steroids and cemo and are doing well so far.
Thank you for the info. just received the care package along with meds today. I will call the nurse to make an appt. to teach me how to inject myself. Prayfor keep posting how you are feeling, seeing you just started and I will do the same.
Yes, I have also had this problem and in the same place under the scapula on the right side and now on the left side with weakness in the whole upper back.
When this is around I have my wife work that area, it hurts so bad some times the only thing I can compare it to is a really bad tooth ache and then it's gone for a while but always returns, weeks or months later.
Try stretching that area as best as you can and take muuscle relaxers.
