I have a very exciting announcement to make. Starting Monday, Elizabeth will be your new moderator. I have really enjoyed being a part of your community. I will miss you all. I am not leaving WebMD. We are just shuffling around the communities a bit. I know you'll be in wonderful hands with my friend Elizabeth.
Please help me make her feel welcome!
Take care and I hope each of you have a wonderful day! EmmaView Thread
A small study done by Anthony Feinstein MD, PhD, of the Sunnybrook Health Services Center and the University of Toronto, states that MS suffers who smoked or ingested medical marijuana had side effects such as problems with attention, learning, or memory, ranging from mild to severe. Do you think the benefits might outweigh the side effects?View Thread
I am glad you found your way to our MS Community. Your daughter is very luck to have you! I wanted to give you a link to our Multiple Sclerosis Health Center , that might be able to answer your questions a bit more. We have some wonderful members here too, so hopefully some of them can jump in to help as well.
Exercise is important, it helps to keep you healthy and keep your muscles moving. But how do you exercise when you hurt, do you have certain exercises you do each day? Do you have modified exercises for when you are having one of your worse flare ups?
I think aqua therapy is great for anyone, in particular those that are just starting out exercising! I am glad you are working with PT's, and that they have showed you which stretches would help. I think with anyone who is exercising it's important to get help in figuring out what works best for you!
I wanted to let you know that Dr. Lava is generally in our community on Fridays. However, I'll send your post to him incase he has a few minutes that he could stop in to answer your questions. In the mean time, I hope some of the other members who are very educated in the world of MS can jump in to help you a bit.
