I always thought I would just "get the drugs" and have it be as quick and painless as possible. I'm a pretty small woman (5' and, before I got pregnant, 100 lbs).
I'm curious about doing it natural, because the more I read, the more compelling doing it natural is becoming. I can't get opiate pain killers due to a past problem with opiates, and honestly, I have a pretty high threshold for pain anyway.
What I'm getting at here is, anybody who has done it natural (possibly even the same petite frame I have) have any tips/advice on whether or not to go natural? And, if you DO end up needing a c-section (because of my small pelvis, that could be a real possibility, what do they do if you don't already have the catheter in??
ANY experiences other women or doctors, nurses, midwives, doulas, etc. have had would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!View Thread
