Okay so I am going back to work next week and I will only be able to pump at my lunch break and I am wondering how to I go about weening my daughter onto formula, right now she has formula at night and I pump during the day and feed her breast milk during the day. My main concern is how do I get my milk to slowly dry up with having to deal with engorged breasts? any advice or tips would be great, I also have a lot of breast milk frozen so that as I am switching her completely over she will still have milkView Thread
Melody is 3 weeks 4 days old, and at her appointment last Thursday she weighed 10lbs 15 oz and is 21 3/4 inches long which mean she has grown half an inch in 2 weeks!! I heard her first coo last night and it was soo sweet I cannot wait for her to start doing it more.
My only struggle is I went back to work today ( I know kinda of early for it but we need the income ) and so I am working on weaning off of pumping and so my boobs are slightly sore from dropping minutes off of my pumping time.
This week I am going to enjoy going to bed early with Melody so we can snuggle and I can get more sleep and then after my midnight pumping session snuggling with my hubby and hearing about his day at school.
The weather is a bit all over the place here in WI it can be in the 70-80's during the day but then it drops to the high 40's at night which feels sooo cold to me.View Thread
My baby is 3 weeks 4 days and I have found that when nothing is working and she seems tired if I just lay her down in her crib for a bit she will put herself to sleep or will get close to being asleep and then I will pick her up and she crashes. not saying it works every time but it does work here and thereView Thread
Well I have my pumping down to every 4 hours during the day now and then I don't pump at night as Melody eats formula at night because it keeps her full longer and she is able to get some sleep. Her new thing is being awake for 2-3 hours at a time and then she is sooo tired that she can't fall asleep and will take another hour to settle down and sleep.View Thread
Well Showering and exercising are hard to fit in ( I am lucky to shower lol ) and Next week I go back to work so exercising is really out of the question.
It's been 3 weeks since I had my baby and I only have 3lbs left to lose to hit my pre-pregnancy weight. I don't like my tummy right now as it's all lose and my belly button still hasn't gone back to being an innie and I wonder if it ever will.View Thread
She is most likely just going through a growth spurt, if she is still like this in a couple of days I would phone the doctor again, but as long as she wakes up to eat an ounce or so and is still having the right amount of wet/dirty diapers I wouldn't be concerned.View Thread
Our last date night was 2 days before we went to be induced as of right now we sort of sleep through the night, Melody wakes up every 2 1/2 -3 hours has a bottle and then goes right back to sleep but she sleeps 10pm-10am so I am at least getting some sleep.
My perfect date night is going out for dinner with the hubby and then back to a hotel room with a whirlpool in the room and then we just have a glass of whatever we are int he mood for soak in the tub and then sleep til we wake up without the alarm going off.
I think our next date night like that will be the beginning of OctoberView Thread
