Thank you. I am still not sure of the details, but 3rd hand sources have told me that the baby and her were ok for a little while and then the baby passed and she started having complications and eventually passed as well. I will let you all know when I do, it's so scary and so tragic. They are having the service on Sat, that is how I found out they had a baby boy. They were so excited and were waiting to find out the sex of their baby. I really can't imagine what happened to them. The mother was around my age, no more than 30 years old. So young.View Thread
Hello ladies I need your help once again. I want to make a meal that can be frozen for a friend of mine who just went through the worst tragedy a husband can imagine. I need the meal to be inexpensive, freezer/thaw easy, feed a lot of people (8 maybe) and be tasty. Any ideas?
A friend/coworker of mine had a great loss yesterday. He has been married just under a year and they were expecting a baby June 16th. I am not sure of the details yet but his wife had an emergency c-sec yesterday and both her and the baby passed. I can't even imagine what he is going through. His whole little family gone. One of the ladies we work with is organizing the food thing, I haven't found out how many people are with him right now but I'm sure his whole family are.
Thank you thank you! I am going grocery shopping in the morning! I don't know where I would find some of that stuff but I can definitely find the fruits. I will check out the complete site, thanks again.View Thread
Thank you! The pain meds haven't really made me feel any different. I am on naproxen, I have been on it once before with my RA. I believe it's like a strong advil or something. It does help although it's not nearly as good as the stuff they put in my IV . I still have a dull ache in my hip/back and a headache. I am just praying that it passes soon!View Thread
Well ladies I have kidney stones! I woke up at 4 am this morning in a whole lot of pain in my hip. I blamed it on my RA (rheumatoid arthritis) I couldn't go back to sleep so I went down stairs and took some advil. I had a little water as well. I went back upstairs only to run back down and vomit! The pain got worse and worse and I kept throwing up. I told DH I wanted to go to the hospital. I thought I had a kidney infection since I am still on antibiotics for a UTI. The pain was almost like my labor back pain. The only difference is that the pain from this didn't have the break in between, it was constant. As soon as I got there they suspected stones. They got me an IV (I was dehydrated by then) and put in pain meds (I made sure they were safe to BF with) Well in about 5 minutes my pain was lessening. They did an x-ray and could see at least one stone. The Dr said he could do a CATscan to confirm but I declined. So now I have to strain my pee and hope I pass it soon! Not fun at all! Have any of you had this?View Thread
Okay I know we all have funny poopy stories, so what's yours?
Here is mine for the day:
we just switched to cloth diapers and my DH is very supportive. He was changing DS tonight and it was a poopy. He got the new diaper all ready and went to get the snappy off the old one since it was just poop and no pee. Well as he did this DS's poop rolled across the floor! It was hilarious!
This isn't about poop but close, DD was sitting next to DH on the floor and lets out a LOUD toot!! She goes "scuse me" DH and I were laughing so hard but trying to be discrete about it so we didn't answer her and she says "I said scuse me" we couldn't help but laugh out loud then! I was laughing so hard I cried!View Thread
Runninmama you took the words right out of my mouth! I actually said to DH the other day that I want to have chickens when we get a house. HOWEVER they would be for eggs only. I couldn't slaughter Maribelle either! I can't even kill a bug, I just take them outside. I could control what they eat and make sure that they are healthy. DH's parents always gave us eggs. DH said it's super easy to care for them too.View Thread
Thank you! I knew you would have great ideas! I have little fleece blankets that I can use! I am going to go to our baby consignment shop today and see what else I can find, it's really kind of fun!View Thread
