I've had to take DS to every prenatal appointment i've had up until they started weekly NST's on me. I put him in his stroller brought some toys and snacks, and let him to go town.
The major plus to my OB (there arent many I hate them if i could change i would), is the nurses in that office LOVE DS, and one of them who i've become rather close with, will take him back to the waiting room and play with him during the appointment.View Thread
I'm in the process of clearing out some toys, not to get rid of them, but DS seems bored so i want to remove some for a while, then bring them back out at a later date. My Question is this, i want to clean them as i go, but a lot of what he has are electronic toys, i know some of the pieces i can spray with lysol and let them air dry, but the actual interactive peices i'm concerned about, I still have yet to find a way to clean his My Pal Scout who is totally filthy!
Here are the Toys i'm concerned with how to clean:
yeah keep me posted, right now i'm not using shampoo on DS at all because of his Eczema, i wash his head with the sea salt water in his tub. If i absolutely have to wash his hair, i use a pea size amount on his head only. I am curious to see how the BS, and vinegar work out View Thread
We tried NFP, sadly though my syscles must be more messed up then we ever imagined cuz here comes #2 (we were also using other things at the same time to TRY to prevent pg). I was on and off the pill since i was 16 (i'm 26 going on 27). The issues i had with the pill was killer migraines, the Depo shot is pure evil (3 months of a constant migraine) it was awful! I am getting my tubes tied after #2, and we will hope for the best, i will most likely keep an eye on my cycles as soon as they regulate again.View Thread
For the last two days all i've been able to feed DS is breakfast. He refuses just about all other foods during the day, except his banana. He refuses dinner then thinks hes going to eat at 10pm, tonight i'm not doing it, i dont want to encourage the habit. I've given motrin on the thought its another tooth, still nothing. We're having enough issues keeping weight on him. This is really starting to aggravate me. All he does is cry in his seat, i've given him foods for meals that i know he likes and he's still turning his nose up to it. I thought it was his location, but he eats breakfast in his seat and hes fine. I dont understand this. I'm really starting to get burnt out with the food issues with him, the allergies, the picky eating the doctors coming down on me because hes not gaining weight, his skin not clearing up like it should, his allergist is being an idiot, he tells me to stop the one thing thats helping his skin, because its too drying on the skin (even though his skin hasnt looked this good since he was born). DH isnt helping anything at anytime, because hes just being a man! Sorry this kinda turned into a vent, its just been a really bad week.View Thread
My DS has always been very independent, He prefers to feed himself, so i try to conform as much as i can. I very rarely have to sit and feed him (unless its something like applesauce and i'm not feeling the clean up after), he does prefer to sit in his seat unstrapped however we've had to start strapping him in because he stands up and tries to escape and the chairs we have sit almost 4ft off the floor so it wouldnt be a short fall if he were to. His allergies are Dairy, Eggs and Peanuts (tree nuts), he does break out in eczema, we use sea salt which is a blessing it has helped a lot, i just cant figure out why hes flaring up, i've taken him off of soy milk and switched him to Almond Milk (which was ok'd by the allergist months ago), he seems to like it, I'm kinda hoping it might be a sensitivity to Soy as a lot of other moms i've talked to have said that sometimes with this combination of allergies can also have a soy sensitivity. We all hit that breaking point i think sometimes i totally hit mine yesterday, At least today i have DH doing dishes, and cleaning one of the rooms. Today knock on wood is better. View Thread
DH and I have reached an agreement that as long as puts the seat up, i dont mind putting it down. I swear my DH has the WORST aim of any man i've ever encountered. I will gladly fall in, if it meant he remember to lift the seat! LOLView Thread
my little guy started out in the 75% percentile for weight and height, hes now 95% for height (33 inches) but barely on the charts for weight, he weighed in at 23lbs 6oz last week. His Pedi said as long as he doesnt look emaciated (starved) not to worry about it. My little guy is a bean, but hes solid as a rock.View Thread
