I have been reading about whiteners but have not seen my question addressed.
My front teeth show to be somewhat whiter on about the bottom 1/4 or less of the tooth. Wondering if I whiten if it will cause a further problem? Wondering the cause for this? It is not plaque but a discoloration on that part of the tooth, or at least it appears so. I also wonder if it could be the spring water I drink, it is a sparkling natural spring water. It says it contains CO2 natural flavors (orange or lemon with no calories, sweeteners or colors ) I only drink coffee as my other option in the a.m.
I am wanting to whiten but wondering if this discoloration on the bottom portion of my front teeth will cause a problem in obtaining overall whitening on those teeth?
Thank you very much for your time with my concerns. I wish I had gone to one. I do not think the recent root canal was the source of my problem. The 'bump' is still between the two upper back teeth and the dentist now thinks it might be the second to the last one that is causing the problem. You are correct, I do think I need to ask more questions. I did speak up and ask about the xrays and they pretty much told me what you explained here. Thank you. Yes, I suppose I do need to 'calm down' but I felt my concerns were legitimate. I am only sorry that I did not get answers sooner and from my dentist. Thank you. Your input has been most helpful.View Thread
I've had my question concerning xrays and their use on the boards as yu know for some weeks now, at least the initial post. I am disappointed that I have not received any follow up and did not think it was out of line to inquire. My apologies if it is.
If I can get no answers on the boards, could you possibly give me some reliable links to follow up on to find the answers I seek?
I am the one who asked about having xrays and when to know if it is enough or to go along with it. My post a week ago explained the situation in question. My appointment to finish up the re-do on the root canal on my upper molar is scheduled for next Tuesday.
It's quite possible they will do more (xrays). I don't believe now that re-doing the root canal in that particular tooth was the problem with the abcess (located between last two top teeth) so it's likely they will suggest a re-do on the other molar next to it. I am guessing that will require more xrays. Could you please adivse? What should I prepare for so far as agreeing to allow them to do more? This concerns me and I sincerely seek answers.
