As a child my baby teeth came in with little or no enamel. My pediatric dentist said it would go away when my adult teeth came in, it didn't. I have had numerous cavities filled and caps put on as a child. As an adult I have had teeth pulled, cavities filled, crowns, etc. In 2 weeks I am having the rest of my teeth pulled and immediate dents put in. Right now I have 3 abscessed teeth and numerous cavities and sensitivity to hot and cold. The dentist diagnosed me with something called DI, which has to do with the ammount of enamel on teeth, but not nessiscerely all teeth. When I find the paper with the full name I will repost (as it was recently).
My daughter. Who is 10, has been experiencing same things. Not my son though. My mother, father, maternal grandmother, and paternal grandfather ( that I know of all had the same problems). Although they have all passed away, my father told me he got dentures at age 34, my grandfather at age 40, my grandmother age 38, and my mother got partials just before she died of child birth at age 32. Note: We are 95% Irish. Any questions you can reply or email. I hope this helps someone! Also protective seals did not help as a child or adult.View Thread
