We're compiling a list of all the events and milestones that our members like to keep track of in their lives. For instance, most of us like to keep track of birthdays of family and friends. Parents like to keep a record of when their children hit milestones, such as rolling over, first words, walking, cutting a tooth. And, many of us keep track of our medications, treatments and doctors visits. Members of our Breast Cancer community like to share with others when they have been "Cancer Free" for six months, a year, two years, and on.
Think about what you like to keep track of and milestones you like to share with your family and friends and post them here in this thread. I bet you all keep track of a lot of things our staff would never think of!
Can't wait to get your feedback.
Take care,

Jamie and Gladys Scott release from prison raises an ethical issue.
CBS article: Sister's Kidney Donation Part of Miss. Parole
The article By HOLBROOK MOHR, Associated Press
quote:
"Arthur Caplan, the director of the Center for Bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania, has studied transplants and their legal and ethical ramifications for about 25 years. He said he's never heard of anything like this."
"When you volunteer to give a kidney, you're usually free and clear to change your mind right up to the last minute. When you put a condition on it that you could go back to prison, that's a pretty powerful incentive."
Do you feel the "donating of an organ condition" to be released from prison is ethical?

This unconsciouable display of cruelty cannot be allowed to stand. It must be reversed or before we know it the same thing will be happening in every state and you or your loved ones could be affected.
Organ Transplant Initiative (OTI) is a Facebook group with a simple mission, "To ensure that anyone who needs an organ transplant can get one."
One of our major initiatives right now is to reverse the inhuman decision made by the state of Arizona. Please join us in our battle by becoming a member http://www.facebook.com/DonateLifePA?ref=ts#!/group.php?gid=152655364765710

So, I've had this aching pain in my chest wall for a while now. I thought it was just pleurisy, but now I have no clue. It's been weeks.. I've been forgetting to take my pills.. a lot.. like days, maybe weeks at a time.. but I've been taking them faithfully the past couple days. And it still hurts. I don't think I'd feel it in my chest if it were rejection, and I don't have any symptoms of that. I'm just scared that it's something serious. I've read that the nerves can regenerate themselves, and that after five years, up to 50% of post transplant patients can develop coronary artery disease..
I'm probably just getting myself worked up..
Any ideas as to what it could be??View Thread
