What shortcuts/tips do you use?
Do you shop online?
Are giving gift cards or money okay with you?
And once you have the gifts, how do you present them... gift bags, wrapping, what?View Thread
i than rested for months and than went back to workout and did PT , still pain, i had a large lump in my arm and my doc said dont worry thats scar tissue.....
3 years later ( few weeks ago ) i just went to a new ortho because i cant take the pain, and i got a mri and anthor x ray and it came up my mri is okay, but i have a big bone spur coming out of my shoulder i believe report claims (4.7 cm , im not positive tho) and my ortho refered me to a specialist in a hospital and said its nothing hes ever seen before...
i was just wondering, what will they do, has anyone ever heard of this....ect
im just curious about it, and i was told it could be causeing pain by hitting tendons and nerves....
does anyone know tests they do to locate nervers or other tests theyll need to do before surgery....
ANY HELP WOULD BE SOOOO APPRECITED...

I am 15 years post ACL repair. I tore my ACL and fractured my knee in three places while in the Marine Corps. The surgeon at Bethesda Naval Hospital did a great job repairing the ACL. However 15 years later I deal with constant pain, swelling, my knee buckles and gives out on me. I am a current patient with the VA, I went to the doctor there with the symptoms, he ordered x-rays, MRI and did a complete (so he says) exam on my knee only to say there is nothing wrong. What should I do now? I can not deal with the pain much longer. On a pain scale of 1-10 it is a constant 7 or 8 and shoots to a 10 plus at least 5 times a day.

I'm new to this board; I was just diagnosed yesterday with arthritis of the big toe. I'm wondering if anyone else here has this and can share their experiences, since I really know nothing about arthritis.
I'm not sure, but I think mine started last year after I jammed my toes hiking in the mountains for a week. It's just been getting steadily worse over the past year.
I'm taking Aleve per my doctor's recommendation, exploring whether an orthotic might help, and this weekend I'll be looking at shoes with stiff or rocker bottoms to help avoid flexing that big toe joint (shoes like Dansko, MBP and Skechers rocker bottoms).
If anyone has any ideas about types of exercise to do or to avoid, I'd appreciate that as well. I'm mainly a cyclist during the nice weather, but I like hiking as well as snowshoeing and x-country skiing. At the health club I mainly do the elliptical and spinning/exercise bike. I'm wondering if any of those activities will aggravate this.
Thanks in advance. JudyView Thread
