Thanks so much, georgia, for your response. I hate that other people have to go thru something like this. But it helps me to know that I am not alone. I am under the care of a pain management doctor. He is the one that is giving me shots in my neck. But they can only give 3 shots. I am glad that you mentioned the bone on bone because I have asked that question and didn't get a response to it. so this continuous popping is eventually going to lead to a complete bone loss in my neck. I don't like the sound of that but that is something I will deal with when the time comes. I keep telling my doctor that it doesn't get pop every once in a while. It pops everytime that i move my head. My husband can lay his hand on the back on my neck and feel it popping. He says that it feels strange to know the bones are doing that. And I do try to keep my sense of humor. I have the o/a in other joints but nothing as bad as the neck. I have it in my thumb and I went to an ortho doctor. He injected something in that joint and it felt so much better. My husband said it was WD40 that he put in there lmao Well, thanks for listening. And y'all keep posting so I can read everyone's. And I will also
I did seek medical help. But they told me that the popping goes along with the arthritus. That it is basically bone on bone. My question to them was if it is bone on bone, with the bones rubbing will it not make the bones thin there. Again no one answered me. I have no idea which way to turn or even whom I can see to help me. I am doing the physical therapy bit. And I am taking the shots in my neck. What else is there to try to help with it? Like I said, I am at my wit's end. I need help!!! lolView Thread
I need some help....please!!! I have the osteoarthritis in my neck and when I move my neck, it pops really loud and it hurts. This doesn't just hhappen every once in a while. This happens 3 out of 4 times when I move my head or neck.I have told my doctor but they say it is normal. I don't think they realize how much or how hard or loud it does pop. My husband laid a couple of fingers on the base of the skull where it joins the two together and he could feel it and hear it. My question is....is this normal? Does anyone else have this type of problem? I have had the shots in my neck for pain management. Now i have a swollen neck from the shots and at this time, still no luck. Can someone tell me if this is normal for it to be popping so many times and so loud and painful?View Thread
