So, I am looking forward to the pain relief after the surgery. My hip pain has accelerated so much in the past coupe of weeks that certain ways I move are unbearable and almost brings me to tears. I'm not normally "teary", but let me tell you, the pain is excruciating.
Relief in sight! Yeah!!!!!View Thread

So, I shall try to put on a happy face until the surgery actually takes place.
Thanks for your comments. I appreciate it very much. I really have a big-time limp and the only relief I get is when I sit down. Getting up is quite horrendous tho.
Again, thanks. I'll keep you posted.View Thread

I'm sure all will go well, but I'm also positive that everyone who has major surgery in their future, is having the same worries that I'm having. It is never easy to prepare yourself for it.
Because I had never had any major surgeries before my knee and hip replacements, I just took it in stride, because I didn't know anyone else who had similar surgeries. So, no comments etc. about what to expect. Now I know, and because I'm 9 years older, that also worries me.
Again, thanks for your comments. I appreciate it very much. I will keep in touch.View Thread

So, I will communicate with my friends here as soon as I can.
Thanks for all the support.View Thread

I sincerely hope you can find a doctor to help you with your situation. They are out there, no doubt about it. It's a real shame that we have to go through so much pain and discomfort until we find an MD who can actually help us. I would have thought that an MD who can treat hip bursa would just be an orthopedic Dr. Oh well, we learn something everyday, don't we?
Continue your search. You will find help soon.View Thread

Getting in and out of a car is another thing. Sit sideways (if you are a passenger or driver) use your hands to lift your right leg up and into the car if you are the driver, and then lift your left leg into the car the same way. It's clumsy, but do it slowly. And if you are the passenger, start with sitting sideways and lift your left leg into the car and then lift your right leg in. It's kind of difficult to explain, but try to picture it.
These instructions were given to me by my physical therapist.
Let me know how you're doing, ok? If you don't understand what I'm trying to explain, perhaps your doctor or his nurse can actually show you. I hope this helps.View Thread

Thanks again.View Thread

Again, thanks. I am getting closer to "setting the date".View Thread
