Hello. I had both knees replaced 3 months ago. I would like to hear from others as to the length of time it takes to recuperate. I still have stiffness and some discomfort most of the time. I do take OTC medication every few days. I am unable to kneel and getting up from the floor is next to impossible! Everyone says I am doing great, but at times it gets discouraging. Am I expecting too much too early? I would love to hear how others have progressed after surgery. Thank you so much!View Thread
I am a 75 year old female who had bilateral knee replacement just 6 weeks ago. My general health is good and at my age I decided to do both knees at the same time and I am so glad I did. No, it is not easy but all the support from therapists and family has made the difference. I am walking without a cane, using the stairs, and gradually starting to feel better. Of course, I have a long way to go before I am completely back to normal, but I am so glad 6 weeks is over! Do them both and get it over with at once.View Thread
