Hi, I have had surgery on both hands for the carpal tunnel. My right hand was so bad I could not even pcik up a spoon or fork to eat with. As soon as I woke up from the surgery, the pain was gone on the right hand. They would not do both hands at the same time, the left hand was not as bad as the right, but the surgery greatly improved the pain. The right hand took the longest tor recover because I waited to long on getting the surgery. The longer you wait, the more damamged that gets done to the nerves. But, I would do it again in a heartbeat and not wait so long as I did the last time. But do get a good doctor. I had a doctor that was rated #1 in the state of NC. Good luck. Ps. I think having a good doctor and following his orders is key to your recovery for the carpal tunnel surgery.View Thread
