I had surgery on my middle right trigger finger 4 weeks ago. I have not taken any pain medication, not even right after surgery as I have not felt any discomfort at all. My doctor sent me to physical therapy 2 times a week for the last 4 weeks. I have been in a brace that restricts the movement of my middle & ring finger. While this is very inconvenient, I'm confident it has aided in the proper healing of my hand. My therapist applies heat and massages the incision to prevent scar tissue from attaching to the tendons. She then has me do exercises that have gradually increased the mobility of my finger. I repeat the heat & message at home. I have an appointment with my doctor in 3 days and I'm hoping he will report that I'm almost healed. I'm dying to grip something, mostly utensils so I don't dump my food down the front of me anymore!View Thread
